Title:
Project Controls Manager

KBR is looking for a Manager, Project Controls, to be accountable for the performance of the project controls discipline or a sub-group within the project controls organization. You will manage the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members. You will participate in the development of the execution strategy and the implementation of procedures for cost control, change management, project performance measurement, scheduling, and risk controls.

This position is based in our Newark, DE office, with flexible work arrangements including a hybrid schedule with occasional remote working. Domestic travel to client sites and other KBR offices may be required as needed for project and department support.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of EPC project controls experience in energy, chemicals, or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of front-end loading (FEL) and detailed engineering phases.
  • Proficiency in earned value management, cost forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with P6 scheduling and interactive planning.
  • Advanced Excel skills and excellent communication abilities.

Preferred: Knowledge of the following PC's concepts, processes, and software applications is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with SAP PS, EcoSys, and MS Power BI.
  • Experience with schedule risk assessments, benchmarking, and advanced work packaging.
  • Knowledge of project cost estimating and financial performance metrics.
  • Understanding of AACE (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) recommended practices and their application in project controls.
