We are hiring a Project Controls Analyst/Auditor to join our growing team. This position will be based in our Calgary, Alberta offices.
Your role- Project Governance: Assist with ensuring effective project governance, as detailed in bullet points below, with the purpose of ensuring project controls support and are aligned with overall project objectives, mission and vision.
- Policies, Processes & Procedures: Develop a complete record of all required policies, processes and procedures. Reference Atkins Realis corporate policies as applicable. Identify and document required procedures. Assist with rollout/training of procedures to ensure consistent practices across the Project.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to all elements of the CGL Agreement, including all laws, regulations, required procedures, and internal policies. In addition, ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, with direction and assistance from Project Controls Manager.
- Risk Assessment: Communicate any identified financial, operational, or strategic risks to support Project Controls & Risk Management functions.
- Claims: Assist with compiling evidence for relief events.
- Audits (financial and other audits, as required): Examine accounting records and transactions, with direction and assistance from Project Controls Manager, to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS, and company policies.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports, highlight deficiencies, and suggest corrective actions.
About you- A university degree with 5+ years’ experience that provides a strong foundation for understanding regulatory compliance, contracts, and risk management, which are critical aspects of auditing.
- Experience in the EPC industry preferred.
- Ability to analyze complex documents, identify potential risks, and provide recommendations.
- Analytical reasoning with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to assess compliance with laws and regulations.
- Understanding of internal controls.
- Effective writing.
