Full Job Description
Join MD Anderson as a Project Consultant, Value Initiatives and help shape how cancer care is delivered across the institution and beyond. Working within the Chief Quality, Value & Ethics Office, you'll partner with clinical leaders, operational teams, and external collaborators to develop and implement innovative care models that are affordable, patient-centered, and value-driven.

You'll serve as a key consultative partner and representative of the Director of Value Initiatives, providing expertise in value-based care, quality improvement, and process improvement while helping stakeholders navigate challenges, remove barriers, and successfully implement new programs. The position provides significant visibility across MD Anderson and opportunities to collaborate with partners, networks, and the UT System.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Consultation and Communication - 50%
• Assist with the ideation and implementation of innovative care models. Expectation is to assist with the dissemination and scale strategy of these new care frameworks across various care settings (ACCC, inpatient, ambulatory, community) and service lines (surgery, medical oncology, hospital medicine) as appropriate.
• Provide consultative services for value-based care, process improvement, and quality improvement efforts.
• Clearly and professionally communicate vision, strategies, and current/future project outcomes.
• Develop presentation materials as needed.
• Facilitate seminars, conferences, and events to promote/educate about initiatives.
• Compile annual reports to ensure continuation of programs/projects.
• Serve as an extension/representative of the Director, Value Initiatives.

Project Management - 50%
• Manage large and small scale programs/projects across institutional divisions and with external sources.
• Lead program/project implementation efforts with MDACC, MDACC partners, networks, UT system, etc.
• Work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
• Determine and secure necessary resources for programs/projects.
• Develop and report on outcomes metrics for each program/project.
• Manage program/project deliverables, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate across MD Anderson manage challenges and mitigate barriers for programs/projects.
• Regularly report to Leadership, CQVO, and stakeholders on the progress of all deliverables.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to produce manuscripts, publications, and abstracts based on program/project outcomes

Education

Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field

Preferred:
• Master's Degree in related field

Work Experience

Required:
• 5 years of performance improvement, research or consultant experience, to include project management, change management, and data analysis. Experience working collaboratively with physicians to lead healthcare change management highly preferred OR
• 3 years of experience required with Master's degree

Preferred Experience
• Experience managing medium to large projects in healthcare

Preferred Certification
• PMP, CAPM, PPM, CMP, or equivalent
