Full Job Description
Project Close Out Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will ensure all project deliverables, documentation, financial reconciliations, and administrative requirements are completed accurately and in accordance with customer and organizational standards. The Project Close Out Manager also manages the project assignment queue, ensuring projects are reviewed, prioritized, and assigned to Project Managers in a timely manner to support operational efficiency and customer expectations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage the end-to-end project closeout process from Team Lead review through final project closure.
  • Monitor project and resource management dashboards to ensure work locations have sufficient personnel, equipment, and resources available to successfully execute assigned projects and meet schedule commitments.
  • Review project documentation, deliverables, financial records, and required approvals to ensure projects meet closure requirements.
  • Ensure all project closeout activities are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with customer and organizational standards.
  • Manage and monitor the project assignment queue, ensuring projects are assigned to Project Managers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate with leadership to balance project workloads and align assignments with available resources and skillsets.
  • Support customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required by the program.
  • Provide local travel support between customer buildings or temporary assignments to alternate locations for special projects.
  • Work an 8-hours shift within a coverage team operating between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma with 8+ years of experience or an associate's degree with 6+ years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project lifecycles, including project closeout activities and administrative project controls.
  • Experience managing project intake, prioritization, and assignment processes.
  • Direct knowledge of the customer's operational environment, including ticketing systems, installations, desktop technologies, corporate applications, access administration, and voice/video infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors.
  • Ability to clearly understand and discuss project statuses and offer practical solutions to issues.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Direct knowledge of the customer's operational environment, including ticketing systems, desktop technologies, corporate applications, access administration, and voice/video infrastructure.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with co-workers, management, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing tasks and requirements while learning new skills quickly on the job.


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices, position self to maintain equipment and cabling (including under desks, moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces).
  • Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50+ pounds; some equipment may require team-lift or use of carts.
  • Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder (10+ feet high) while pulling cables and adjusting equipment.


The projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
