McBride Homes is seeking a talented and experienced Project Architect to join our architecture team. The ideal candidate will have heavy experience in residential designs, a passion for innovation, and strong leadership skills. As a Project Architect, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of residential project designs, collaborating with internal clients, designers, engineers, and the construction staff. This is an in-office position located in our state-of-the-art facility in Chesterfield Valley.

Compensation: $80k - $100k/ yr. depending on experience and an annual, discretionary bonus program
Key Responsibilities:- Navigate municipal approval processes and permitting requirements under the direction of the Senior Architect
- Address plan review comments and revise documents accordingly
- Produce detailed plans, elevations, sections, and specifications with a high level of accuracy
- Assist in resolving design and construction challenges in real time in collaboration with senior team members
- Collaborate with internal teams to standardize and implement new plans and options that support product line expansion and drive revenue growth
- Utilize CAD/BIM software efficiently; support team development by sharing best practices, libraries, and workflow efficiencies
- Work independently on assigned tasks and project components while coordinating regularly with the Senior Architect
- Monitor project progress and ensure designs remain compliant with codes, standards, and project requirements
Qualifications:- Licensed Architect in the State of Missouri, or actively pursuing licensure with the ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
- 5+ years of architectural experience, including a minimum of 3 years in residential design (production or custom preferred)
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of residential building codes, zoning ordinances, and permitting processes
- Experience producing and coordinating full construction document sets
- Experience collaborating with consultants, internal teams, and construction personnel
- Experience with plan standardization, options development, or value engineering preferred
