Responsibilities

  • Coordinate technical designs with multidisciplinary teams for integrated solutions.
  • Manage due diligence activities, including documenting existing conditions and supporting plan review.
  • Lead the review of submittals, drawings, estimates, and calculations for accuracy and compliance.
  • Resolve construction and code-related issues during site visits in collaboration with authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to professional development initiatives.

Full Job Description
As a Project Architect II, you will lead key technical design components of complex architectural projects while ensuring alignment with client goals, codes, and sustainability standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate design intent into coordinated, high-quality documentation. In this role, you'll apply advanced architectural expertise while mentoring emerging professionals and contributing to Progressive Companies' Performance-Based Design approach.

Deliver Results
  • Develop architectural models, contract documents, and specifications for small-to-moderate complexity projects while integrating building codes, sustainability strategies, and material standards.
  • Ensure design intent and Performance-Based Design principles are consistently reflected throughout all project documentation and deliverables.
  • Coordinate technical designs with internal teams, consultants, and engineers to ensure multidisciplinary alignment and integrated project solutions.
  • Manage due diligence activities including documenting existing conditions, organizing project files, and supporting plan review submissions.
  • Lead the review of submittals, drawings, estimates, and calculations to confirm accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project scope.
  • Resolve construction and code-related issues during site visits, collaborating with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) and project teams to address technical challenges.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to professional development initiatives such as lessons-learned sessions to strengthen team capabilities and project outcomes.
