Job Duties

The Compensation Board is seeking an experienced C# Developer/Programmer to be responsible for: developing applications for the Compensation Board using emerging technology; leading the agency maintenance, development, and deployment of IT initiatives providing solutions that align with agency core responsibilities and business needs; enhancing existing Compensation Board services and creating new virtual services by combining the resources of traditional information systems with the convenience, availability, and reach of the web and/or other new and emerging technologies and service delivery outlets; providing a secure, flexible and integrated approach for connecting Compensation Board systems and services in support of customers, employees, and business partners, via Internet, Intranet, Extranet and related electronic channels.

This is an advanced technical position primarily developing applications independently, which is responsible for research, analysis, integration, development and implementation of tools, technologies, methods, and systems, which expand or enhance delivery of Compensation Board services directly to customers, employees, and business partners, by interfacing traditional information systems to the web and/or through a variety of alternative electronic channels and access devices.

Minimum Qualifications
• Broad foundation of knowledge and experience in information technology;
• Extensive experience of C#, prototyping, reusability, object oriented design and development, code generation, construction, testing, configuration, analysis, and change management;
• Significant experience in developing web client based applications using:
• SQL-Server (2019);
• NET 3.1 (or higher);
• Visual Studio 2019;
• Scripting experience with T-SQL
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft .net framework;
• Knowledge of Angular and gRPC
• Strong knowledge of a variety of technical environments and the concept of integration and enterprise architecture;
• High level of interpersonal, customer service and negotiating skills; experience preparing presentations and reports to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work with all levels of data processing personnel, and other agencies/companies.
• Must be able to obtain information from technical manuals and use networked workstations, servers, and printers in support of Enterprise Level and Web based applications.
• Experience working with and developing advanced programs and systems in an Enterprise Level and Web based environment.

Additional Considerations
• Microsoft Visual Studio Certification.
• Knowledge of Cloud deployment and containerization, UI/UX, or Coldfusion.
