Description & Requirements

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Program Security Officer to join our team in Herndon VA. In this role, you will provide unparalleled support for program, physical, and personnel security for multiple programs supporting an Intelligence Community partner.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
  • Provide comprehensive security support and perform a variety of security-related tasks for Collateral and SCI Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) activities.
  • Process clearance nomination submissions, manage clearance maintenance, coordinate indoctrination and education, and facilitate customer badges.
  • Monitor visitor control, access control, and document control systems to maintain a secure environment.
  • Track security incidents, execute adverse information reporting, and manage foreign travel and contact reporting.
  • Maintain and track program accreditations and Authorities to Operate (ATOs) while actively supporting government inspections.
  • Implement government security policies and provide security compliance support for ongoing proposal efforts.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years of experience in access pr visitor control
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Applications.
  • Direct operational experience using the Defense Information Security System (DISS) and Scattered Castles.
  • Working knowledge of SCI access control protocols and SCIF regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter, collaborate effectively within a team, and flexibly adapt to new security functions.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting security operations specifically within an Intelligence Community environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing security priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with government customers and internal stakeholders.


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with poly


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to move around the office to access materials and escort visitors.
  • Regularly communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $75,500.00-$125,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
