SUMMARY

The Program Planner is responsible for procurement planning, inventory management and data management, including maintenance and generation of data items needed to successfully execute programs. The Program Planner acts as an essential internal connection point between program staff, the customer and management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Establishes controls necessary to ensure that required data deliverables are prepared, reviewed, approved, published, submitted or received per the contract schedule
  • Provides procurement planning in coordination with manufacturing engineering
  • Identifies program milestone targets, and develops methods/procedures for reporting progress against these milestones
  • Reviews data to ensure compliance with various requirements, procedures and specifications
  • Participates in meetings with customers and reviews requests for waivers, progress reports, and acceptance criteria as needed
  • Exercises, professional discretion, independent judgment, and strong interpersonal skills, including coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers
