Job DescriptionYou will be the Manufacturing Engineer Sr for the Air Dominance Production Operations team. Our team is responsible for driving improvement initiatives that support tooling and facilitation ramp efforts for Air Dominance Production Operations.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer Sr you will be responsible for advancing process efficiency, integrating advanced automation, and delivering high-performance manufacturing tools that enable mission-critical production.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support design, fabrication, assembly, validation, and deployment of manufacturing tools and electromechanical systems, including robots, conveyors, vision systems, and programmable controllers.
- Participate in strategy and execution of cost-reduction initiatives across LM sites and the supply base.
- Influence design for manufacturability and ensure producibility of complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Lead capital planning, vendor/integrator engagement, and project management to deploy automated solutions at multiple sites.
- Travel 10-20 % to facilitate projects within LM sites and the supply base.

Basic Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM Related Discipline
• Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
• Experience working within cross-functional groups, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various teams and stakeholders
• Technical knowledge and experiences in the areas of defensive and aerospace manufacturing, process development and production testing.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance, therefore must be a US Citizen
Desired skills• At least 2+ year prior experience in a manufacturing role directly supporting the shop floor or related experience.
• Working knowledge of Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), with applications to tooling and designs.
• Working knowledge of Electro-Mechanical assembly processes.
• Knowledge of Digital Transformation and Automation Processes in a Manufacturing Assembly Environment.
• Experience facilitating design reviews with cross-functional departments and stakeholders, using CAD, PowerPoint, and other visualization tools
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing, concepts, and techniques
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
