Trane Technologies is hiring a Program Manager - Supply Chain Resiliency within Direct Procurement. This position will lead risk evaluation and mitigation activities across multiple direct procurement categories, driving cross-functional collaboration and building organizational capabilities around sourcing analytics and strategy development.

What you will do:

  • Lead supplier risk process through scoring, prioritization, and tracking of mitigation actions.


  • Manage progress of risk related actions


  • Support continuous improvement of supplier risk management process


  • Support supplier resiliency projects through the management of PDP (Project Development Plan)


  • Align with Functional, SBU and Enterprise stakeholders to incorporate category strategies into AOP & NPD processes and design implementation plan while gaining leadership support.


  • Accountable for team's utilization of standard work including project tracking, documentation and reporting for supplier risk management, regulatory requirements, etc. Actively engage with team members to eliminate roadblocks and escalate issues appropriately.


  • Manage intra-program dependencies and their interrelationships, and their impact upon other programs and projects; mentor and coach program team members and non-dedicated project leaders on project management fundamentals.


  • Development of Risk Disruption playbook for direct procurement, creating standard work and leading usage during supply disruptions


What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field


  • Advanced degree or PMP certification preferred.


  • 5 to 10 years' experience Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations and at least 2 years' experience in project management & category management


  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex cross-functional projects within matrixed organizations


  • Demonstrated experience coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to drive program specific issues and goals to closure.


  • Experience in supplier development, materials management, and/or plant operations a plus.


  • Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving initiatives


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong influencing and negotiating skills across organization. Possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to lead, develop and motivate staff; foster team dynamic.


  • Ability to travel up to 10%

  • Supply Chain Acumen - Oversees development and execution of GSC strategies/playbooks for assigned components or services, drives utilization of common GSC tools to achieve optimal results that are Quality, Delivery, Price and Service balanced and corporate/governmental compliant.


  • Project Management - Reviews and approves teams' project plans, oversees project execution, balances projects between short and long-term focus, secures alignment with cross-functional partners. Manage prioritization of team resources.


  • Global Business Thinking/Strategizing - Demonstrates deep global knowledge of suppliers, industry trends, emerging markets and technology, builds this knowledge into GSC strategies/playbooks, develops teams' capabilities & talent.


  • Problem Solving - Identifies/anticipates potential problems, supports root cause analysis, evaluates robustness of corrective action plan and oversees plan implementation.


  • Relationship Management - Creates collaborative environment with cross-functional partners, assures regular/appropriate two-way communication flow, builds/maintains relationship with industry peers and suppliers.

$75,700.00 - $156,200.00
