WHAT YOU'LL DOThe Program Manager will have overall responsibility for program performance, cost, schedule, quality, staffing, and contract compliance. This position will serve as the primary contractor interface with authorized Government representatives and will coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and technical partners to ensure successful program execution.
The ideal candidate has significant experience managing DoD programs involving training, test, range, or similar operational environments and is comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams in a highly regulated and security-conscious environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:- Lead overall program execution, including performance, schedule, cost, quality, staffing, and risk management.
- Serve as the primary contractor point of contact for designated Government representatives.
- Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Coordinate site, infrastructure, security, safety, and operational readiness activities.
- Manage subcontractor performance and integrate technical contributions into overall program execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable contractual, Government, security, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present program status reports, reviews, and decision-support materials.
- Coordinate with security personnel to maintain required cleared staffing and program security requirements.
- Manage program budgets, travel, invoicing support, and other contract administration requirements.
- Implement and maintain program quality-control processes.
- Lead recruiting, staffing, and retention efforts to ensure personnel meet contractual qualification and credential requirements.
- Support transition from program mobilization and initial capability development into recurring operations.
Note: This position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon the Government awarding the applicable contract to Summit Point and the candidate meeting all contractual, security, and employment requirements.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position operates in a combination of professional office, operational, and field environments. Work may be performed at company, Government, partner, or other designated program locations. The position may involve access to secure or controlled environments and requires compliance with applicable safety and security requirements.
WORK CONDITIONS- Regular travel to designated program locations is required, with occasional travel to additional locations as program needs dictate.
- Work schedules may vary based on program requirements, operational activities, meetings, and travel.
- May require extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and working at a computer.
- Must be able to access and move throughout operational and field environments, which may include uneven terrain and exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Must maintain all required security clearances, credentials, and access requirements for the duration of employment.
Requirements
Job Requirements and Qualifications:Required- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, management, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense programs, including at least 3 years as a Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, or comparable senior program leader.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Experience managing complex Government contracts, subcontractors, integrated schedules, budgets, and formal deliverables.
- Experience supporting training, test, range, operational, or similar DoD environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple concurrent priorities.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and Government customer-interface skills.
Preferred- PMP, DAWIA/DAU Program Management certification, or similar credential.
- Experience supporting specialized DoD training, test, or operational environments.
- Experience with emerging technologies, advanced training capabilities, or test and evaluation programs.
- Experience establishing, expanding, or modernizing training, testing, or operational facilities.
- Prior military or Government civilian experience in program management, training, range operations, or test and evaluation.
