Job Summary/Overview

The Program Manager, Social Media and Content is responsible for developing, executing, and continuously enhancing Columbus McKinnon's global social media strategy while supporting broader corporate, internal, and external communications initiatives. This role serves as the central point of coordination for all global social media activity, ensuring brand consistency, audience engagement, and alignment with company priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's global social media strategy in alignment with business objectives and brand standards.
  • Manage and maintain global social media channels, including content planning, creation, publishing, and audience engagement.
  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to develop compelling content that supports corporate priorities, employee engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Create and curate content for internal and external audiences across social, digital, and communication channels.
  • Monitor social media performance, industry trends, and brand sentiment, providing insights and recommendations to improve effectiveness.
  • Support corporate, executive, and employee communications initiatives through content development and storytelling.
  • Ensure consistent messaging, brand voice, and visual identity across all communication platforms.
  • Analyze and report on external communication and social media performance metrics to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support global communications campaigns and special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, and/or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in social media management, communications, marketing, public relations, or content development.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple social media platforms within a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience developing and executing content strategies that drive engagement and brand awareness.
  • Strong experience creating content for internal and external audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media management platforms.
  • Proficiency in Canva or other design software is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 10%).
