Position Overview
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of enterprise technology modernization initiatives. This individual serves as the primary point of contact between the client and project team and is accountable for project performance, schedule adherence, risk management, stakeholder engagement, budget oversight, and contract compliance.
The Program Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of architects, analysts, developers, testers, and integration specialists while ensuring alignment with customer objectives and contractual requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between customer stakeholders and project teams.
- Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and delivery plans.
- Manage project budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Conduct weekly status meetings and executive briefings.
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage change requests and project governance activities.
- Coordinate activities across technical and functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and deliverables.
- Track project performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Prepare executive reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Support customer decision-making and strategic planning activities.
- Facilitate issue resolution and stakeholder communications.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 10 years of Program or Project Management experience.
- Experience leading enterprise application modernization projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing fixed-price government contracts.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP Certification.
- Experience supporting state, local, or federal government agencies.
- Experience with Agile and traditional SDLC methodologies.
- Experience managing enterprise software implementations.
