Job Responsibilities This position is responsible for planning, managing, developing, delivering and evaluating educational and occupational training programs, including enrollment, personal or professional development and company/industry specific training. Ensures compliance with industry standards, federal and state laws, and any other guidelines set forth by governing agencies.
Job Functions:
- Develops, promotes, implements, delivers, and monitors occupational advancement training opportunities throughout the service area. Conducts training needs analyses, develops and presents proposal, secures resources to address identified needs, and coordinates training delivery with area organizations to assist in making those organizations more effective and efficient. Assigned duties will include developing and delivering instructional classroom and/or hands-on training with a qualified instructor base to meet the market needs; monitoring departmental course schedule and required resources in order to adjust as needed; and aiding in writing contracts, grants, and reports deemed necessary to meet the programmatic strategic plan.
- Assess programs and design and implement policy or content change to improve student learning and program relevancy, work towards departmental student success goals, and maintain compliance with accrediting bodies.
- Identify and promote immediate and long-range training requirements in the service area by: a) Having frequent contact with representatives from business, industry, and the community. b) Regularly meeting with or serving on committees with representatives from business, industry, and the community to keep courses consistent with current technology, laws, regulations, and policies, including creating advisory committees as necessary. c) Marketing programs and services of the College's Corporate & Community Education (CCE) Division and individual CCE departments.
- Recruits and provides supervisory leadership for the staff and faculty involved in the coordination and delivery of training in the service area, cultivating a learning environment that promotes continuous improvement and professional development.
- Develop and manage the annual revenue and expense budgets for the department.
- Actively serve on division and college committees, work groups and other organized teams or groups when requested or appointed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree and related training development program experience.
