Full Job Description
Your Role:

The Program Manager, Medical Education is responsible for the development and execution of medical education activities across all therapeutic areas within EMD Serono Canada. This role partners with Medical, Sales & Marketing, and Patient Services to identify educational needs, design impactful programs, and ensure compliance with medical education standards and internal policies. You will lead the creation and delivery of medical education programs and events aligned with the Medical Brand plan, coordinating with faculty, coordinating budgets and logistics, and providing high-quality scientific input to ensure program integrity.

Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with therapeutic area medical managers, marketing, and sales to understand educational gaps and priorities
  • Participate in brand planning sessions to shape medical education strategies that address unmet educational needs and support the broader brand strategy
  • Briefing and coordinating with the program coordinator on medical education requirements, timelines, and administrative tasks, and for overseeing program budgets and event logistics, including venue selection and site checks
  • Ensure all program content meets scientific quality standards and complies with IMC regulations and EMD Serono policies and procedures, including disclosures and faculty honoraria processes


In this role you will create, develop, and execute Medical Education programs and events for each therapeutic area, including input on scientific content and the maintenance of high educational value. You will manage relationships with speaker faculty, ensure accurate program descriptions and learning objectives, and handle essential documentation such as disclosures and honorarium forms.

This role will include travel of up to 25 percent domestically and internationally, with occasional weekend commitments as needed.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • 3+ years of experience in development and/or implementation of Medical Education programs
  • You have a portfolio of Medical Education programs that you created and implemented without agency involvement, reflecting hands-on ownership of program design and execution
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, proactive in taking on additional responsibilities on short notice, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills; both oral and written as well as excellent interpersonal abilities
  • The ability to approach work with energy, problem-solving capability, and a positive attitude suitable for a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort with managing budgets, timelines, and logistics, we well as a collaborative mindset to partner with cross-functional colleagues to deliver high-quality medical education experiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Pay Range for this position: $107,600 - $131,600

Our ranges incorporate all levels and career types available within this specific role and are derived from relevant industry market data within Canada. Should we decide to make an offer, we will consider several factors, including but not limited to your skills, experience, career level, and other job-related factors.
