Program Manager II
About the Role

The Program Manager II is responsible for managing corporate programs and multiple projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Reporting to the Product Manager, General Manager, or Engineering Director, this role oversees program planning, execution, and performance evaluation while collaborating with key stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to drive projects through the Product Development Process (PDP).
Your Impact

In this role, you will:

- Lead Program Execution: Oversee multiple projects within programs, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with organizational policies, and proactive risk mitigation.

- Support PDP Implementation: Manage the execution of the Product Development Process, coordinating resources to deliver high-quality products or services.

- Facilitate Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Dev Managers, and Engineers to assign responsibilities, communicate priorities, and ensure accountability.

- Promote Programs: Track program adoption across the organization, ensuring effective communication and utilization by stakeholders.

- Evaluate Program Success: Use data and key performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and drive optimization.
What You'll Do

- Manage Project Teams: Provide guidance to team members, overseeing work completion and ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

- Drive Planning and Execution: Collaborate with stakeholders to capture customer requirements, define project scopes, and create detailed plans, including schedules and budgets.

- Define Milestones: Work with project teams to establish clear, measurable milestones that follow the SMARTY principles (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Right-Sized, Time-Bound, Yours).

- Monitor Performance: Regularly report program progress to senior leadership and address root causes of missed milestones.

- Ensure Compliance: Mitigate risks proactively and ensure program activities comply with company policies and external regulations.

- Support Business Development: Respond to proposals, provide estimates, and assist with defining project budgets and schedules.

- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to optimize program delivery.
Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a detail-oriented program leader with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ideal candidates will have:

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a technical discipline.

- 4-8 years of experience as a Project Analyst, Planner, or Manager in software, hardware, or related industries.

- 3-5+ years of experience overseeing programs or managing multiple complex projects.

- Proficiency in project management tools, methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.

- Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing programs in a collaborative, team-based environment.

- Experience with hardware/software products; experience in automation or robotics is preferred.
