Program Manager - Leadership Education Development (ROTC)

(Position anticipated to extend for one year)

The Program Manager, ROTC Engagement, oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of leader engagements for ROTC programs across seven brigades and six senior military colleges. The position cultivates and maintains relationships with Professors of Military Science at ROTC programs and Senior Military Colleges to expand leadership development opportunities for future Army leaders. This position reports to the Center for Leadership Assistant Director, who oversees all leadership development programs for Army and ROTC Audiences. This position works collaboratively with the Program Manager for the Leadership Education Fellows to identify and confirm the most appropriate Leadership Fellow for all ROTC engagements.

The Program Manager for ROTC Engagement handles program management, stakeholder engagement, logistics, and strategic growth efforts, aiming to increase the Center for Leadership's influence across seven ROTC Brigades and six senior military colleges ( ).

Required Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in program coordination or management, military programs, or a related field.

Principal Responsibilities

Program Management
  • Develop outreach and engagement plan, timeline, and assessment plan.
  • Track and process budget expenditures.
  • Track program participation, outcomes, and performance metrics.
  • Develop program assets, including reporting templates, participant surveys, and summary reports.

ROTC Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with ROTC program Professors of Military Science and primary contacts at Senior Military Colleges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Center for Leadership ROTC program.
  • Identify opportunities to expand ROTC participation and engagement when possible.
  • Develop 1-2 day leadership development engagements in collaboration with the ROTC Professor of Military Science.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager of the Leadership Education Fellows program to identify Leadership Education Fellows for ROTC engagements.
  • Write content highlighting Center for Leadership ROTC engagements for inclusion in AUSA publications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the Leadership Education Fellows who will support ROTC engagements.
  • Build and maintain cross-departmental relationships across AUSA, including with the Finance and Meetings teams.

Assessment and Continuous Improvement
  • Collect and analyze participant feedback and program data.
  • Prepare program summaries and reports for stakeholder engagement efforts and for communication with senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program quality and increase impact.
