Operations Manager: Command Readiness and Strategic Communications!

Are you a dynamic leader who excels at driving organizational readiness, executive operations, and strategic messaging? The Air Force Sustainment Center Software Directorate (AFSC/SW) is seeking an Operations Branch Manager to serve as the operational heartbeat of our Directorate Services Division.

In this high-visibility role, you will provide the critical leadership and oversight required to keep our organization running flawlessly. You will not only manage the vital support functions that ensure personnel safety and operational continuity, but you will also serve as the creative and strategic voice of the Directorate, communicating our mission to the Department of War (DoW) and beyond.

What You Will Accomplish:

- As the central operational authority for the branch, your daily focus will span from emergency readiness to high-level executive briefings and creative branding. You will:

- Ensure Operational Readiness & Safety: Protect the well-being of our personnel and guarantee continuity of operations by leading robust Safety programs, Emergency Management protocols, and critical mission-execution Travel operations.

- Command Strategic Communications: Direct the Directorate's creative vision and public footprint. You will lead all internal and external communication efforts, overseeing marketing, branding, graphic design, photography, and videography.

- Drive Executive Suspense Management: Serve as the definitive central point for all high-level correspondence and suspense management, ensuring the Directorate operates with absolute precision and timeliness.

- Execute Department of War Responsibilities: Develop, coordinate, and consolidate division and group-level inputs to create high-impact briefings and reports for the AFSC and higher headquarters, directly assisting in official DoW duties.

- Champion Workforce Excellence: Lead the Directorate's formal Awards program, ensuring the exceptional men and women who build our war-winning software receive the formal recognition they deserve.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Obtain & maintain an appropriate security clearance

- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft

-May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification,

consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.

2. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.

3. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition., supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.

4. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.

5. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
