Full Job Description
Summary:

Program Launch Manager will oversee and coordinate all internal requirements for the launch of new and modified products and is responsible for managing all aspects of the new product launch. This dynamic individual will manage new programs and designs from the receipt of quote acceptance through part approval; and will maintain ultimate responsibility for program success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the planning, development and launch of new projects.
  • Primary liaison between Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Quality.
  • Develops project requirements.
  • Manages the operating program inputs: project planning, logistics, operations management and financial performance.
  • Manages and communicates customer's product quality, on-time delivery, configuration and inventory requirements.
  • Prepares customer required daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Manages multiple projects with multiple tasks in a fast paced industry.
  • Recommends continuous improvements on new program launches.
  • Supports projects by interfacing and coordinating between the customer, purchasing, production, engineering and quality.
  • Design and implement new product introduction process.
  • Assist with getting process and engineering documents through quality system in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with Quality System SOPs, work instructions, drawings and ISO requirements.
  • Establishes budget and timeline for all approved projects and is responsible for regularly communicating progress against project timeline to all project stakeholders.
  • Conducts regular meetings with all project stakeholders to ensure proper focus remains on the project, its deliverables and expected results.
  • Drives the implementation and production approval of new plant and equipment and/or production tooling into the production environment.
  • Responsible for generating all required paperwork associated with plant and equipment and/or production tooling projects and getting it approved to company ISO and quality standards.
  • All other duties as assigned by the general manager.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five (5) years' practical work experience in project management.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • BS degree in Engineering (or related discipline) or education/experience equivalency.
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and a team builder.
