The Intelligence & Sensing (I&S) Business Unit within the Space Sector’s Intelligence Systems Divisionseeks a highly skilled and motivated Program Integration Manager 3 to join our dynamic team. The location of this position is Redondo Beach, CA.

This role is 100% on-site.

 

Overview

The Program Integration Manager will work closely with the Business Unit (BU) team which includes internal and external stakeholders. They will streamline operations, finetune the battle rhythm, and develop standard formats to improve reporting and aid in program management, leveraging modern data analytics, metrics and dashboards to distill information into actionable data. This individual will serve as a focal point for actions and tasks that have broad program impact to ensure a comprehensive and balanced cross-program response. The individual should be a self-starter, versatile, problem solver; have the willingness to work as part of a team; and must be willing to travel occasionally to other Northrop Grumman and customer sites. 

 

Role and Responsibilities:

 

Leadership

  • Serve as interface to BU VP and Operating Unit (OU) Directors to drive business initiatives for the BU

  • Lead all non-P&L facets of program operations – organization charts, distribution lists, manage SharePoint material, staff meetings, action items, engagement, staffing, offsites and all-hands

  • Establish the BU strategic rhythm in alignment with that of the Division’s and establish external touch points (i.e. customer meetings, supplier excoms, etc.)

  • Lead BU facilities’ needs, issues, strategy and initiatives

  • Direct coordination with the CIDO office to support all network needs and requirements 

  • Lead overall milestone review planning, inclusive of orchestrating review logistics, venue, customer contact plan, socials, etc.

  • Oversee PMR process, manage collection and integration of the content from IPTs and functions (Business Management, Contracts, Security, IT, etc.)

  • Own BU risk and opportunity management process and registers. Identify and manage program level operational risks and mitigation plans.

  • Lead key customer engagement events

 

Strategic Impact

  • Support PM in addressing ad hoc program issues (this could include NDA projects flowed down from Business Unit)

  • Coordinate with Security organization on strategy for clearances of program personnel

  • Support PM in pivoting a program from phase 1 to phase 2 by leading staffing coordination and ensuring the infrastructure is prepared for the next phase of the program

 

People Management

  • Lead Program Integration organization in the BU

  • Act as Chief of Staff to BUVP to drive horizontal integration across all OUs

 

Coordination

  • Coordinate OU IPRS, BU X-Matrix Objetives

  • Support BUVP inputs to Division-level Ops Review briefing package and recurring status reports

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key interface between Program Manager, Business Manager, Contracts and Customers to work programmatic challenges

  • Serve as a focal point for actions and tasks with broad program impact to ensure comprehensive and balanced program response

  • Facilitate cross-OU integration, Earned Value Management, Risk Management and aid campaigns for successful completion of critical program milestones.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 8 years of relevant experience supporting  U.S. Government contracts and/or customers as a project or program manager in the Aerospace/Defense Industry; OR 6 years’ experience with a Masters' degree; OR 4 years’ experience with a PhD

  • Must have prior management experience leading a team and supporting programs

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with and influence senior management, peers, and employees

  • Previous Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI access at the time of application

  • US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications: 

  •  Advanced degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline, MBA, and/or Project Management or Engineering Management certification

  • Proven team leadership experience in program integration, operations, program execution, proposals, or capture efforts to meet quality, performance, cost, and schedule requirements

Primary Level Salary Range: $193,000.00 - $289,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
