- Serves as U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command Lead ITAS Approver.
- Approver of Army ITAS waivers for U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER) 3/5/7 and Information Assurance (IA) security.
- Subject matter expert on the Army Information Technology Approval System (ITAS) advising NETCOM, ARCYBER, HQDA CIO/G-6, Army Commands (ACOM), Army Service Component Commands, and Direct Reporting Units (DRU).
- Provide information assurance and security approvals for ITAS waivers submitted by all ACOMs.
- Senior advisor on all ITAS Committees and working groups for policy development, systems functionality and processes.
- Supports updates and maintenance of the ITAS Desk Side Reference Manual and ITAS training materials and tutorials.
- Produce statistics and reports regarding ITAS waivers.
- Provide technical advice to Army Commands and staff offices.

- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 of AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- The IT classification for this position is IT III. Position is designated as Special Sensitive.
- This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program in accordance with AR 600-85.
- Signing of a DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program) acknowledging periodic random drug testing requirements is mandatory prior
- to being placed into this position. Those individuals not currently occupying a TDP position must successfully complete a preappointment drug test prior to being placed into this position and periodically thereafter.
- This position is designated Tier 5, Special Sensitive, High Risk and the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access as a condition of employment.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by
(1) analyzing ITAS related Command, Control, Computer, Communication,Information Technology (C4/IT) and cyber requirements development, planning, prioritization, validation, and documentation; (2) gathering Information Technology Approval System (ITAS) qualitative and quantitative data to recommend appropriate resourcing requirements, policy and procedural changes; (3) providing information assurance and security approvals for ITAS waivers; (4) producing ITAS reports and metrics to implement internal reporting requirements.EducationSome federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
