Full Job Description
Purpose:

The Program Integration Advisor is a unique and vital role that collaborates with all internal and external stakeholders to drive systems and technology enhancements that support the future growth of the company. This position is critical to the team's success and delivery of an expanding suite of applications. The Program Integration Advisor is responsible for maintaining the product backlog and providing oversight to system analysis, development, testing, debugging, documenting, and installing portions of new systems and modifying existing systems. This role will define project requirements, partake in solution design and build, perform feasibility and impact assessments, develop project plans and own implementation processes. The position will also serve as a resource for historical context to operational leadership when needed and assist teams with change requests and program enhancements.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns the development and delivery of multiple software product(s) in line with business needs
  • Owns and drives key business relationships for the product(s)
  • Creates & maintains an executable backlog of product requirements
  • Concept, prototype, test, and implement new solutions
  • Organize and prioritize program, systems, and technology enhancements.
  • Partake in requirements gathering sessions, solution documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate and participate in data and system testing
  • Manage change control process and assist teams with analyzing and executing client requests
  • Identify problems, explore potential solutions and design and implement such solutions
  • Understands, defines, and communicates prioritization of product requirements with a mind toward business value and tradeoffs
  • Supports product team members as they engage with business analysts and stakeholders, to build a backlog and deliver work. Assists with the distillation of product backlog requirements into user stories.
  • Drive team alignment on product vision and value delivery
  • Weighs business risks, issues, and impediments being experienced by the product team and actively assists with issue resolution
  • Inspects product progress throughout the sprint and is empowered to make critical decisions and accept work completed by the team.
  • Contributes to long-term product strategy by identifying opportunities for innovation and enhancement; ensures roadmap execution aligns with market demands and user feedback.
  • Possesses deep understanding of program data structures and status logic; leads and manages testing activities for new or existing data sets to ensure accuracy, integrity, and business relevance.


Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • A thorough understanding of business needs of a Pharmacy
  • Previous experience in product development and/or implementation
  • Possess a strong understanding of biologic/specialty pharma market
  • Highly proficient in gathering, communicating, and documenting business requirements through interactions with different cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and be self-starting and self-sufficient.
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, implement, and evaluate projects


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing design and delivery of technical IT products
  • Project management experience with focus on design, facilitating development, testing and delivery
  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word

Work Environment

VRP offers a hybrid work structure, combining remote work and in-office requirements. The frequency of onsite requirements will vary depending on role, operational needs, meetings, client visits, or team collaboration activities. Employees must be within commuting distance to Pittsburgh, PA, and able to report to the office when needed. We will provide advance notice when possible. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. When telecommuting, employees must have reliable internet access to utilize required systems and software required for the position's responsibilities. The amount of time the employee is expected to work per day or pay period will not change while working from home. Employees are responsible for the set-up of their home office environment, including physical set-up, internet connection, phone line, electricity, lighting, comfortable temperature, furniture, etc. Employee's teleworking space should be separate and distinct from their "home space" and allow for privacy.
