Full Job Description
The Program Director oversees and manages the activity of our client. Responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of our client's specifications and Member-defined activities in accordance with our client's Organizational Processes and Procedures.

The Program Director will coordinate monthly reports to our client's Board of Directors for Matter technical, certification and marketing activities which are measured against our client's committee roadmap and related schedules. Further, the Program Director will also establish best practices for program administrative support, document management, minutes, voting rights, balloting, and leadership election administration while preserving the established self-serve structure already in place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track and monitor milestones and goals set for each sub-group and activity in marketing, certification, and technical activity. Identify, and confirm new or updated milestones and/or goals, adjust for any changes with constant communication and alignment with the internal team.
  • Oversee the activities of our client's team, and ensure that the project records (meeting minutes, action items, documents, meeting schedules, agendas, attendance, voting rights and elections) are compliment with the applicable documents (Certification Policy, IPR Policy, Organizational Processes and Procedures) as well as our client's approved Charter.
  • Attend and coordinate committee meetings and ensure a constant communication flow with the team.
  • Develop a system of metrics to assist Matter in evaluating and monitoring the performance of their marketing, technical, and certification groups.
  • Oversee management and maintenance of our client's tools that support Matter technology development, launch, quality and security (GitHub, Atlassian, DCL, Slack). Manage outsourced projects to develop and/or enhance new tools. Establish and ensure best practices are followed in the use and management of these tools.
  • Coordinate with the Matter Steering Committee on the annual budget request based on established project schedules and related resource requirements in partnership with the Heads of Finance, Marketing and Certification.
  • Be the operational glue for peers and our client's staff leadership team to orchestrate internal activities to achieve Matter deliverables on time and reporting.
  • Work towards achieving SMART Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) focused on ensuring effective and efficient communication of critical items and assisting the Matter SC achieve delivery specifications on time.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and approved by the CEO
  • Travel: attend regional Matter and hoc in-person meetings as required (up to 25% travel covering both domestic and international travel).

Qualifications
  • Education: BSc/BA in management, engineering, or a relevant field; MSa/MA is preferred.
  • Experience (7) or more years of related project management experience. Experience in Standards Development Organizations or technology consortia required.
  • Exceptional communicator, with experience in communications and organizational methodology, and experience managing in complex environments.
  • Change management experience and communications experience is a plus (eg, CMC in technology consultancy).
  • Certification: Project Management Professional Certification is a plus.
  • Experience working in international team environments, across multiple time zones and continents.

Required Skills
  • Proven experience as a project/program director or similar managerial position with translatable skills.
  • Expert-level understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
  • Expert-level knowledge of developing key metrics for project evaluation and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Program management software (Asana, Jira, Microsoft Project or equivalent).
  • Proven exceptional, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytic and critical thinking mindset with complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Active learning/listening
  • Ability to tailor communication style to varied audiences spanning from C-suite to highly technical backgrounds.
