Position Summary and Job Responsibilities
Position SummaryBGI is seeking a Program Director, Technical Services, to lead the execution and delivery of technical programs within the Technical Services business segment. Reporting to the Vice President of Technical Services, this role ensures program objectives are met, customer requirements are translated into actionable solutions, and operational excellence is maintained across all assigned projects. The Program Director will drive program performance, foster innovation, and support the integration of Requirements and Capabilities (R&C) to address mission needs and emerging challenges.
Job ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership and Accountability- Manage multiple technical programs with responsibility for cost, schedule, staffing, and performance.
- Support the VP Technical Services in achieving segment P&L targets and growth objectives.
- Establish priorities across assigned programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with BGI's Strategic Approach and Vision.
- Build and develop a collaborative, high-performing team grounded in BGI's core values.
Program Execution- Deliver mission-relevant, high-quality solutions that consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, ensuring all programs maintain technical rigor, operational relevance, and disciplined execution.
- Drive uncompromising discipline across cost, schedule, staffing, risk management, and performance to ensure programs remain on track and aligned with segment priorities.
- Establish and enforce repeatable program management processes, ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely reporting of execution metrics, risks, and opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate execution risks early through proactive planning, scenario analysis, and coordinated cross-functional engagement.
- Maintain strong, sustained customer trust through consistent engagement, rapid response to emerging needs, and demonstrated commitment to mission outcomes.
- Foster a "keep sold" mindset by continuously seeking opportunities to expand value, enhance warfighter outcomes, and position BGI for follow-on work.
- Lead cross-program integration, ensuring lessons learned, best practices, and technical approaches are shared across the segment to elevate execution quality enterprise-wide.
- Drive operational readiness, ensuring teams possess the training, tools, and clarity required to execute at a high level under evolving mission constraints.
- Ensure compliance with responsible cybersecurity, AI, and data governance policies as applicable to program scope.
Innovation and Future Capability Development- Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies aligned with mission needs.
- Drive investment and partnerships that expand BGI's technical capabilities.
- Build pathways from services to scalable, technology-enabled defense technology solutions.
Required and/or Preferred Qualifications
- Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Education/equivalency: Bachelor's Degree in a field applicable to Technical Services.
- Proven experience leading technical programs or initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership managing P&L, portfolios, and large-scale programs.
- Strong understanding of DoW doctrine, priorities, and modernization efforts.
- Experience operating within or alongside multi-domain or joint operational environments.
- Track record of leading growth, capture, or customer engagement efforts.
- Ability to translate mission needs into technical and defense technology solutions.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced technical credentials.
- Experience supporting or leading 4th/5th Generation Aircraft training integration and execution, including advanced programs and mission sets such as autonomous Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA).
- Experience in LVC environments or advanced programs and training systems.
- Prior leadership role within a defense contractor or government organization.
- Experience working with Air Warfare Centers, Naval Aviation Warfare Development Command, or equivalent operational commands.
