The County of San Diego, Department of Public Works (DPW) has an exciting opportunity for a Program Coordinator -Stormwater Structures Maintenance. The Program Coordinator will be assigned to the Structural Best Management Practices (SBMP) Program within the Transportation Division, which oversees the full lifecycle management of DPW's SBMP inventory.
The Program Coordinator duties will include:

The Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience in Asset Management, Financial Management, and Contract Administration
  • Experience with GIS, Accela, or other enterprise permitting/inspection platforms
  • Knowledge of Best Management Practice (BMP) maintenance standards, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) requirements and on-call contract structures, Stormwater regulations, and Environmental and Public-Works regulations and requirements
  • Experience reviewing engineering and construction plans
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in budget development, fiscal forecasting, procurement processes, and contract negotiation

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or certified foreign studies equivalency, AND, four (4) years of professional experience performing analysis, budget management, program administration, engineering, or closely related work in a program performing planning and analysis; OR a combination of education and/or experience as stated above.

Working Conditions
