Job Title: Technical Data Analyst

Job Description

The Data Modeler / Net Zero Program Analyst supports emissions and operational data initiatives by developing, managing, and analyzing large datasets to enable informed decision-making. This role focuses on integrating data from multiple systems, building dashboards, and supporting analytics related to emissions, surface facilities, and power systems.

The position collaborates with cross-functional teams including operations, data analytics, and emissions specialists to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and usability. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, technical proficiency in data tools, and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and manage large datasets to support emissions tracking and operational performance.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, or similar platforms.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources and systems to create unified and reliable datasets.
  • Support data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve data accessibility and reporting capabilities.
  • Assist in developing data models that support emissions estimation and operational insights.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data analysis, including working with large datasets.
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple data sources and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present data insights clearly.

Preferred

  • Experience with industry-related systems such as SiteView, ProCount, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with emissions estimation, surface facilities, or power systems.
  • Understanding of data integration concepts and working with APIs (implementation awareness; development not required).
  • Experience working in industrial, energy, or environmental data environments.

Additional Information

  • Location: Midland, TX or Houston, TX (with periodic travel to Midland).
  • Office-based role with occasional travel requirements.

Job Details

Pay: $120/per hr

Schedule: 5/2 - 40 hours/week
