JOB DESCRIPTION: Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Responsible for ensuring contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract. Responsibilities may include developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned portion of a program, participating in and establishing and defining program plan requirements, and monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met. LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: Directly supervises individual contributors (skilled technicians, administrative support) and/or entry-level professionals (accountants, entry-level engineers): Manages experienced professionals (e.g. engineers, scientists, financial analysts) who exercise discretion and independent judgment performing assignments. SCOPE: Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Management reviews work to measure meeting of objectives. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: N/A PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. FREEDOM TO ACT: Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization. IMPACT: Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies. LIAISON: Interacts internally primarily with subordinates and other supervisors. External interactions is typically with suppliers, vendors and/or customers. Primary purpose of liaison is information sharing and basic problem resolution.

Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
