As a PROGRAM ANALYST (READINESS DATA) at the GS-0343-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Analyzing how various decisions will affect future readiness of Department of Defense units, recommending tools and frameworks.
- Analyzing actions leveraging data analytics tools (i.e., DRRS, Advana, ORION, the Joint Staff Dashboard, JCRM, AND JOPES/JPES).
- Supporting Readiness management, Global Force Management, and the OSD RDIM advanced analytics project in support of operations in crisis, contingencies, exercises, deployment, and redeployment.
- Providing written and visual products to inform senior decision makers in order to meet mission goals and objectives.
- Developing analytical models and methods applying to decision-making, validating each model accurately.

- This is a designed Key position. In the event of a national emergency mobilization, this position cannot be vacated, which requires the incumbent, or designated alternate, to be screened from military recall status.
- Must be available for short notice travel, as required, to represent Readiness data or Global Force Management data equities at meetings or briefings.
- This position may require additional hours: credit hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
QualificationsYou may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 12 grade level in the Federal service:
- Expert understanding of Department of Defense, Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and military command structures to execute national-level military strategy.
- Proven ability to perform strategic and operational-level planning and execution for Global Force Management.
- Adept at resolving conflicts, exchanging ideas, and coordinating policies within the Department of Defense with the ability to transform data using Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI.
- Representing management in high-level forums, addressing critical issues related to sensitive defense capabilities in support of global operations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
EducationSubstitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
