Duties

Help

  • Advising executive governance bodies to shape multi-million-dollar software investment decisions.
  • Delivering executive decision briefings to advise senior agency leadership regarding operational risk profiles.
  • Synthesizing high-level program performance metrics to establish enterprise planning tool prioritization.
  • Evaluating enterprise-level program milestones to resolve critical resource gaps and execution delays.
  • Executing long-range strategic feasibility studies to shape enterprise capital investment priorities.
  • Leading multidisciplinary strategic planning taskforces to develop comprehensive agency operational support plans.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access. A pre-employment and recurring comprehensive background investigations are required.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
  • This position is designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent may be required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Directing comprehensive multi-echelon strategic plan evaluations to identify strategic capability gaps; AND Authoring enterprise planning technology investment strategies with user feedbackto generate investment recommendations for enterprise planning software; AND Leading interagency operational risk workshops to forecast organizational resource demands; ANDDefending multi-year program budget portfolios to align funding with strategic objectives.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
