Full Job Description
This Product Development Engineer
works as a member of the Controls, Systems and Packaged Units Engineering Team and leads all product engineering activities on sourced, ductless products.Primary responsibilities will be to qualify new sourced ductless products and provide engineering support on currently sourced ductless products.This role will have the responsibilities detailed below and work as part of the team to achieve the organizations overall goals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (others may be added):
  • Complete all engineering tasks required to qualify new ductless HVAC products including VRF and multi-mini-splits.
  • Work with suppliers and internal engineering teams to validate the products, provide performance rating information, complete agency approvals and review and approve technical literature.
  • Use system analysis skills to assist our customer support team in diagnosing product issues, and then communicate any needed product changes to the supplier.
  • Develop detailed project work plans for your areas of responsibility.
  • Work with Portfolio Management team to develop and execute product roadmaps for future ductless product sourcing projects.
  • Provide on-going product support for ductless products such as quality improvement and productivity projects.
  • Maintain an awareness of new product technology developments in the ductless market.
  • Develop and support standard work for engineering activities on sourced, ductless products.
