Position Specific Description

The Production Technician at Genesis Solar Plant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the solar power generation facility. This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex equipment, monitoring plant operations, and executing procedures to maximize electricity production and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain solar power generation equipment, including photovoltaic panels, inverters, transformers, and related components.
  • Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting activities on solar power plant systems to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and controls systems to minimize downtime and maximize electricity production.
  • Conduct routine performance tests and calibrations of plant equipment, documenting results and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Monitor plant operations through various control systems, identifying and addressing deviations from established parameters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system improvements, upgrades, and modifications to optimize solar power plant efficiency.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies, reporting any incidents or hazards promptly.
  • Provide support during plant outages or emergencies, participating in activities such as equipment startups, shutdowns, and switching operations.
  • Record and maintain accurate plant operation logs, maintenance records, and other required documentation.

The estimated base pay for this position is $73,600.00 to $110,400.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
