Full Job Description
The Production Supervisor - Planer Mill is responsible for direct supervision of a team of hourly employees, including safety, production, and quality goals. The Production Supervisor is committed to continuous improvement in safety, cost management, process improvement, plant scheduling, production flows, staffing and housekeeping. This is a night shift role.

Key Functions
• Responsible for providing daily leadership and oversight of hourly production employees to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
• Ensure proper job and safety rules are followed
• Role model our Core Values and People Principles to foster a positive work environment, and ensure open communication among associates
• Lead safety and other team meetings
• Project needs and balance labor resources to ensure continuous improvement in safety, quality and production
• Set performance expectations for team that directly support the mill goals
• Actively involved in assigning work and evaluating job performance
• Supports, coaches, and provides timely feedback and direction to employees.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Weyerhaeuser, federal, state, and local laws, and regulations

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in an industrial environment
• Leadership skills that include a proven ability to coach employees to a higher level of performance
• Good planning, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience in routine manufacturing concepts such as housekeeping, ergonomics and labor efficiency
• Flexible work hours are necessary to meet the needs of a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Must be willing to work any required shift and on weekends as needed
• Effective problem-solving techniques and ability to make process improvement recommendations
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills
• Committed to professional ethical standards
• Demonstrated ability to raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching, development and instilling a continuous improvement mind-set

What We Offer:

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $69,300-$123,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5-7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
