Description

Provides leadership for the plant's production organization, at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. The Production Supervisor supports the General Manager-Night Shift. Supervises team leads and operations personnel. Assist in providing guidance and oversight for all production employees of Lyons Magnus.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually + bonus
Shift: Nights; typical hours are 5:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m., with occasional 12-hour shifts based on business needs
Schedule: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends
Location: Fresno, CA

Requirements

Core Responsibilities:
  • Supports the mission, values and vision of the company.

  • Improve process and operational consistency to reduce cost and raise performance.
  • Assume ownership for strategic initiatives and additional duties as assigned.
  • Provide leadership and supervision the night shift and associated personnel. Effectively motivate, train and communicate with their assigned shift teams to assure superior levels of safety, reliability, sanitation, and quality. Insure individual and team levels of performance meet or exceed goals and expectations.
  • Prepare and conduct team meetings as necessary for proper communications and development of teams. Have the ability to work with Maintenance, Supply Chain and Quality Assurance staff to create a cooperative environment.
  • Develop an expert knowledge of the production process and all associated equipment. Be able to analytically and systematically troubleshoot manufacturing issues and develop the team to be self-directed in the same activities.
  • Be able to perform daily checks and reports to insure the highest quality of product produced within Good Manufacturing Practices as they apply to the production of the product. Maintain shift performance and quality documentation.
  • Reinforce sense of urgency during production runs and periods of machine downtime. Effectively communicate issues to management team.
  • Needs flexibility to work variable hours and weekends. Ability to work weekends, as needed.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • At least 2-3 years of related experience in Warehouse/Manufacturing environment, preferably in food and beverage.
  • Computer skills including a working knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Basic Math skills
  • Good prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge and application of Food and Beverage Manufacturing, including video jets, case packer, fillers set-up process
  • Strong Forklift, industrial equipment skills, a plus
  • Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes is preferred
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory


Required Education
  • High School or GED or BS Degree in a Operations related field.
  • Additional education may substitute for experience, as applicable
