Job Description (General Summary)

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • This is an onsite leadership role supporting an engineered-to-order manufacturing operation.
  • This position is intended for a highly hands-on supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys being directly engaged on the manufacturing floor leading teams, solving problems, driving execution, and supporting daily operations in real time.
  • The Production Supervisor will work closely with Plant Leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time execution of assembly operations, materials flow, and production readiness across the facility. This role will spend the majority of the time on the production floor coordinating labor, removing obstacles, supporting team members, and driving operational performance.
  • Provide hands-on supervision and leadership for daily operations in an engineered-to-order assembly environment.
  • Execute production schedules and adjust priorities and resources to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
  • Coordinate material flow, inventory accuracy, and cross-functional support to maintain production continuity.
  • Monitor operational performance and troubleshoot production, equipment, and process issues impacting throughput and quality.
  • Plan labor requirements, staffing, and overtime to support changing business demands.
  • Train, coach, and develop employees while maintaining accountability for performance, attendance, and safety expectations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on Lean manufacturing, 5S, ergonomics, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate production status, issues, and recovery plans while fostering a culture of safety, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or operations environment.
  • Minimum one (1) year of supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment and spend extended periods on the production floor.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience supporting production scheduling, materials coordination, or assembly operations.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced, engineered-to-order environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in engineered-to-order, custom manufacturing, conveyor systems, or industrial equipment assembly.
  • Previous experience supporting materials management, inventory control, or warehouse operations.
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems such as Oracle.
  • Experience leading fabrication, mechanical assembly, or electrical installation teams.
  • Previous knowledge of Intralox equipment, products, or manufacturing operations preferred.

The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans.

Salary Range: $56,100 to $105,500
