Job Overview

The person selected for this role will have the ability to make recommendations and improvements that will directly impact the site's processes and procedures. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading the manufacturing activities of the assigned group by providing direction and coaching. The Supervisor will ensure team members receive the required training and will prepare the daily work plans in support of overall production goals and objectives using SAP EWM. The position will be compensated based on experience, pay range is expected to be $90,000-$100,000 per year.

A Day In The Life

  • Schedule work assignments, vacations, and ensure accurate time reporting for Hourly Employees.
  • Utilizes Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, including 6S, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and KPIs, to drive operational excellence and continuous process improvement.
  • Identify and/or resolve problems related to production processes and/or flow and work with key stakeholders to follow-thru on resolutions.
  • Engage in hands-on operation and troubleshooting of press and machinery equipment, including pneumatic, heat, and hydraulic technologies.
  • Working with Engineering personnel concerning new or revised methods, layouts, processes, and equipment to increase operating efficiency, reduce cost or improve quality.
  • Resolve team conflict and manage personnel issues that may arise in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Take an active role in evaluating team needs, engaging staff, and driving attendance and employee retention.
  • Create and promote a positive and inclusive culture built on respect and professionalism.
  • Manage system transactions in SAP EWM and resolve system discrepancies as needed by working with Systems Analyst and other support staff.
  • Implement and enforce Company safety guidelines in partnership with EHS to ensure employees work in a safe manner consistent with Hubbell policies and procedures.
  • Monday through Friday from 6:00AM- 3:00PM. Some Saturdays required.

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and KPI management, with the ability to analyze performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP EWM knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
  • Strong results and quality orientation.

  • Ability to work in a group environment, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude.
