The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor, located in Richmond (CA), leads a team responsible for manufacturing ultra-precision optical components, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of production operations. This role drives performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and continuous improvement while developing team capability and supporting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Value- Lead and supervise daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
- Manage workforce planning, labor allocation, workflow coordination, and shift handoffs to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime.
- Monitor key performance indicators (productivity, scrap, downtime, output) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coach, develop, and motivate employees through training, cross-training, performance feedback, and accountability processes.
- Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing safety standards, investigating incidents, identifying hazards, and ensuring regulatory and company compliance.
- Ensure adherence to quality requirements, operating procedures, and work instructions while resolving process and quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and 6S principles to improve operational performance.
- Maintain accurate production records, communicate operational status to leadership, and support audits and cross-functional initiatives.

- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, safety standards, and production metrics. Experience with optics manufacturing is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting tools.
- Ability to work on-site during 2nd shift hours (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM).
