Job Description:
Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is seeking a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our Reading, PA facility. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving safety, quality, operational performance, and long-term profitability while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

You will lead a team of approximately 50 employees and partner cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, sales, and scheduling to optimize production and deliver results.

What You Will Do
• Lead daily manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
• Provide leadership and direction to supervisors, engineers, technicians, and production staff
• Develop and execute operational plans that support business objectives and profitability
• Partner with Sales and Scheduling to align production with customer demand
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, cost, and delivery
• Identify process improvement opportunities and lead troubleshooting of quality and production issues
• Champion safety initiatives, housekeeping standards, and 5S practices
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards
• Establish and communicate performance metrics to monitor and improve operational effectiveness
• Lead and support projects that enhance capacity, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing leadership or management
• Strong leadership experience managing teams in a production environment
• Background in plastics or related manufacturing industries preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• Proven ability to drive results through problem solving and decision making
• Solid understanding of industrial equipment and mechanical systems

The salary range for this position is $103,400-129,300. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
