3rd Processing Production Manager

In this key leadership role, you'll oversee warehousing operations across all shifts at our Cold Spring facility, ensuring the efficient flow of finished goods and work-in-progress inventory. You'll lead and develop supervisors, leads, and hourly team members, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Working closely with production, scheduling, and logistics teams, you'll manage shipping and receiving activities, inventory accuracy, scaling, and palletizing operations while ensuring resources are in place to support customer and inter-company shipments. The role also requires proactive problem solving and the ability to respond to operational challenges in real time, helping maintain a safe, efficient, and high-performing distribution environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate all processing operations to efficiently achieve production, quality, safety, and operational goals.
  • Develop and mentor team members to enhance performance and support future advancement opportunities.
  • Participate in and monitor projects to ensure timely progress and successful execution.
  • Lead weekly management meetings to communicate priorities, performance updates, and feedback.
  • Establish and manage departmental goals, objectives, and budgets.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with USDA representatives regarding plant operations and compliance matters.
  • Administer company policies and procedures consistently and fairly to maintain safety, quality, and employee engagement standards.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Foster effective working relationships with cross-functional support teams.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development for team members.
  • Oversee all processing activities, including compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Control Plans.
  • Perform administrative functions and ensure operational objectives are achieved.
  • Communicate project priorities, timelines, and critical tasks to team members, ensuring timely completion of assigned responsibilities.

What You'll Need
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business Management, or Logistics preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of proven management experience in leading a team in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required.
  • Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision-making, must have basic computer knowledge, ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Leadership: Strong teaching, coaching, facilitation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Capabilities: Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
