Full Job Description
The Production Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the production team while ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction remain top priorities. This role provides strategic leadership by developing people, driving continuous improvement, managing production resources, and collaborating across departments to deliver exceptional results. The Production Manager works closely with customers, project teams, and company leadership to improve processes, optimize production, and support the long-term success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and team members while fostering a positive, people-first culture.
  • Oversee production operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimating, engineering, and other departments to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor production schedules, inventory, equipment, staffing, and resource allocation to meet customer needs.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers while using feedback to improve operations.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning to support business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and company policies.
  • Analyze production metrics and implement improvements that increase operational performance.
  • Promote collaboration across production teams while supporting company growth and innovation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and integrity.
  • Industrial electrical manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
