Full Job Description
TCG is seeking a results-driven Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations in our high-volume, made-to-order production facility in Lockbourne, OH. This role is responsible for leading production operations across multiple departments while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery objectives are consistently achieved.

The Production Manager will lead supervisors and production teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and partner closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Shipping, Planning, and Quality to maximize operational performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, uses data to drive decisions, and develops high-performing teams.

What You will Do:
  • Manage daily production operations across multiple manufacturing departments, keeping schedules running safely and efficiently.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and hourly associates to meet operational objectives.
  • Own production targets for safety, quality, productivity, on-time shipment, and labor efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs including Units Per Hour (UPH), throughput, labor cost, scrap, rework, downtime, and SLA performance, then analyze daily results and implement corrective actions.
  • Balance staffing and equipment utilization to maximize throughput and remove operational bottlenecks.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives, standardize work processes, and lead projects that improve capacity and reduce cost.
  • Support the implementation of new equipment and production technologies.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain high-quality standards, investigate production issues, and ensure accurate inventory handling and production reporting.
  • Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement through coaching, performance evaluations, and team development.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, Shipping, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure seamless production flow.


Preferred Background:
  • Five or more years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Three or more years managing supervisors and production teams.
  • Experience leading in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience managing production KPIs and operational metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and production reporting systems.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in digital printing, framing, packaging, or custom manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP, MES, or Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience managing multiple shifts.

What the Role Requires Physically
  • The Production Manager is an active, on-the-floor role. You should be comfortable standing and walking throughout the production facility, occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds, and working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and equipment noise.
