Full Job Description
Work Environment:

This position is based full-time at the Shelbyville, IN manufacturing facility, with regular presence required on the production floor across all shifts, including periodic off-shift, weekend, and holiday coverage to support a 24/7 operation. The plant environment includes exposure to manufacturing conditions typical of automotive glass processing, including heat (tempering/furnace areas), noise, glass handling, forklift and overhead crane traffic, and use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, steel-toed footwear) in designated areas. The role requires the physical ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods, climb stairs/platforms, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Office time is spent in a standard plant administration setting.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage the daily decision-making, feedback and support of shift.
  • Check inventories and schedule. Plans and communicates production needs to the team to ensure all production requirements are met an insure a good pass down before end of shift.
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate leadership representatives who are not in the plant when necessary.
  • Collaboration with other Supervisors, Managers and PI's to identify & resolve barriers
  • Assist and monitor process changes, coach and audit their teams on following correct procedures.
  • Work with other managers and PI's to maintain and develop operator assessments.
  • Develop and ensure standardized processes amongst the shift teams.
  • Identify and manage roadblocks and daily actions.
  • SWAT, SOP adherence, SOP audits and KSB adherence of the supervisors.
  • Promotion of QKs and Near Miss Reporting.
  • Promote communication between the shift teams.
  • Oversee approval of vacation and hourly timekeeping to ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Promote process adherence for all processes
  • Plan and lead shift meetings.
  • Promote 5S projects and 5S adherence by crews
  • Manage daily scheduling and shift events.
  • Documentation management and updates as needed.
  • Audit employee time records and correct as needed.
  • Audit and Administer progressive discipline as needed in compliance with the facility work rules and labor agreement.
  • Support adherence to the union contract with Area Manager.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent technical experience) is required.

Salary: starting at $100k+ and will depend on experience

Rotating Day/Evening Shifts - 2/2/3 - we will provide a schedule upon hire - work 6 months EACH YEAR

Shifts Available - 7pm-645am - EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
