Full Job Description
A Typical Day

The Production Coordinator supports the operational unit objectives, assuring all are met and within quality standards and cost objectives, ensuring maintenance of the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee production area, ensuring employee safety, quality and environmental standards are met.
  • Responsible for managing end-to-end production area, including production levels, schedule attainment and equipment up time requirements.
  • Manages and provides reports on safety, quality and schedule attainment.
  • Supports product loss management efforts and programs.
  • Assures accurate and timely closure on all internal and external safety, GMP, customer and regulatory audit non conformances.
  • Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local regulations.
  • Annual completion of safety and food safety trainings.
  • Completion of First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Mentor and develop supervisors and hourly staff to achieve performance standards regarding safety, quality, and operations.


What You Will Need

  • High School Diploma and 6 years related experience OR Associate's degree and 5 years' experience OR Bachelor's degree plus 3 years related experience OR Master's degree.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of production operations management for quality, yield and cost.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years related experience OR Master's degree plus 1 year related experience
  • 6 years relevant production experience in advanced leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of plant technical activities through technical study and training.
  • New equipment implementation through vendor facilitation and training.
  • Performance management skills/ability to collaborate and coordinate team members and projects.
  • CDFA Pasteurizer License, TDHS Licensed State Sealer Certified
  • Advanced industry related courses and vendor trade shows.
  • Experience with SAP.


Physical Demands & Work Environment

This role requires physical exertion, exposure to potentially hazardous conditions or safety hazards. The majority of time is spending walking or standing. There are occasional periods of sedentary work. Is required to wear PPE and have a regular presence in manufacturing and warehouse environments in both temperature controlled and uncontrolled locations.
