Job Description

Position Summary:

The Production Control Manager works directly with the Plant Manager, Planning and area/work center Leads to effectively and efficiently schedule the day-to-day Alloy Processing Operation. Develop and initiate master and detailed production schedules to support manufacture of standard components.

Reporting Relationships:

The Production Control Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for planning, preparing, and releasing detailed production schedules for assigned organizations to support component parts.
  • Responsible for Revenue Plan as based on Backlog and forecast firming withing 12 weeks. Project Past Due burn down- Ownership of OTD
  • Utilize a complete knowledge of applicable scheduling procedures, techniques and documentation.
  • Prepare and communicate daily results and challenges at the daily Line Walk.
  • Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Based on demonstrated capacity, level load production of backlog, pulling in or strategizing offloading to support OTD. Analyze area requirements or tasks to be performed to determine production flow and lead times.
  • Communicate and work with other departments as required to provide data, and resolve operational issues.
  • Establish reporting to determine labor and productivity performance statistics; planning process
  • Identify, research, and coordinate plans to resolve any Quality Hold issues
  • Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Resolve Personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Expedite/Negotiate lead times/due dates with customers.
  • Maintain Safe and Clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all PPE, control points, and equipment; maintaining compliance with established Safety policies and procedures; 6S
  • Coordinate the requirements of the production plan, sales plan, and overall business plan
  • Utilize theory of constraints (TOC) and drum-buffer-rope scheduling methods
  • Analyze production floor status through input/output control reporting
  • Coordinate information with other functional staff, including sales, quality, accounting, and human resources
  • Work on special projects, implementations and report preparation as requested.

Required Skills:
  • Experience in manufacturing supervision, and/or scheduling/planning, Aerospace Industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ERP Systems; Syteline a plus and Microsoft office; Advanced Excel
  • Effective, clear, and precise communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage and track multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and growing environment
  • Superior problem solving skills
  • Effectively communicate the operational perspective in cross-functional meetings.

Level of Education and Experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Aerospace Manufacturing
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Supply Chain, Operations or Engineering


For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $97000.00 to $130000.00 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
