Requisition Summary

DIRECTS MANAGERS IN A LARGE MANUFACTURING AREA TO ATTAIN SAFETY, QUALITY, AND PRODUCTION OBJECTIVES ACROSS ALL PRODUCTION SHIFTS.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
• PROVIDE LEADERSHIP, COORDINATION, AND DIRECTION TO MEET DEPARTMENT AND PLANT GOALS.
• PLAY AN ACTIVE ROLE IN PROMOTING POSITIVE EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND ENGAGEMENT AS WELL AS EMPLOYEE RECRUITMENT, TRAINING, AND OVERALL DEVELOPMENT.
• BUILDS TRUST AND ENABLES OTHERS TO BE HIGH PERFORMERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH PRODUCTION OBJECTIVES.
• MONITORS PROCEDURES TO MEET PRODUCTION SCHEDULES, RECOMMENDING OR INITIATING IMPROVEMENTS IN PRODUCTION METHODS, EQUIPMENT, OPERATING EFFICIENCY, WORKING CONDITIONS AND COSTS.
• CHAMPION AND/OR COORDINATE ACTIONS TO MEET AND IMPROVE OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS.
• MANAGE FREQUENTLY CHANGING PRIORITIES, WHILE MAINTAINING CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION OF PRODUCT.
• DEFINE AND MONITOR KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS AND PROVIDE REGULAR UPDATES TO PLANT MANAGEMENT.
• DIRECTS PROPER STAFFING, TRAINING, AND SAFETY OF ASSIGNED EMPLOYEES.
• INITIATES OR APPROVES PERSONNEL ACTIONS INCLUDING PROMOTIONS, TRANSFERS, COUNSELING, ETC., IN ACCORDANCE WITH COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
• PREPARES OR DIRECTS PREPARATION OF REPORTS FOR MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATES ACTIVITIES WITH OTHER AREA MANAGERS TO ACHIEVE INTERRELATED GOALS.
• ESTABLISHES AND MONITORS DEPARTMENT(S) BUDGET.
• BENCHMARK PEERS (LOCAL AND OTHER PACCAR LOCATIONS), SUPPLIERS AND INDUSTRY RELATED COMPANIES.
• RECOMMENDS AND SUPPORTS CAPITAL EXPENDITURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS.
• PERFORMS OTHER JOB DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

  • DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY COORDINATE MULTIPLE PRIORITIES IN A DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT.
  • STRONG PC SKILLS, INCLUDING PROFICIENCY IN EXCEL, WORD, AND POWERPOINT.
