Product Support Supply Chain Manager (Supply Chain Support)

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for Fixed Wing and Trainer Product Support Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Hazelwood, MO. The Fixed Wing & Trainer Product Support Supply Chain Manager leads a team of supply chain professionals responsible for supporting government and international defense programs within Product Support. This position oversees day-to-day execution of asset management, demand forecasting, repair management, inventory planning, and material availability activities to ensure customer requirements and program objectives are achieved.

The manager provides leadership, coaching, and direction to a team supporting aircraft sustainment and readiness efforts while partnering closely with Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Management, Operations, and Customer Support organizations. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, resolving supply chain challenges, and ensuring effective execution of program commitments.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing supply chain activities within Product Support.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Asset Managers, Demand Forecasters, Repair Analysts, and Supply Chain Specialists.
  • Establish team priorities, goals, and performance expectations aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct performance management, employee development, and career growth activities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Support workforce planning, staffing, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee asset management activities supporting Fixed Wing and Trainer Government Programs.
  • Monitor inventory health, material availability, and asset utilization to support customer requirements.
  • Lead efforts to identify and mitigate material shortages and inventory risks.
  • Support development and execution of inventory strategies that balance customer readiness requirements and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective allocation of available assets across programs.
  • Oversee repair management activities for reparable assets supporting customer fleets.
  • Monitor repair pipeline performance, turnaround times, and backlog management.
  • Coordinate with repair providers and suppliers to resolve issues impacting material availability.
  • Support recovery planning for critical shortages and high-priority customer requirements.
  • Ensure repair activities are executed in accordance with program objectives and contractual commitments.
  • Support supply chain execution activities across multiple government and international programs.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to address supply chain risks and operational challenges.
  • Participate in program reviews and customer discussions regarding material performance and readiness.
  • Provide status updates, risk assessments, and recovery plans to leadership and program teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management, forecasting, repair performance, and material availability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Support implementation of standardized processes and best practices across the organization.
  • Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role (team leader, team manager , large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership".
  • 1+years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, asset management, or related disciplines.
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams and developing employees.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment supporting operational or program objectives.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent work experience
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or government programs.
  • Experience in asset management, demand forecasting, inventory planning, and repair management.
  • Experience supporting military aircraft sustainment or Product Support organizations.
  • Knowledge of supply chain analytics and performance management.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
