The Opportunity:Avantor is looking for a
Product Specialist, Single Use Assemblies to join our Single Use Assemblies Product Management team!
What we're looking for- Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) is required; Concentration in Marketing, Business Management, Communications, Sciences or equivalent preferred
- Experience: 5 years experience working with customers and collaborating cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and Sales teams
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Collaboration Tool: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years experience within the biopharma industry, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and customer needs, strongly preferred
- Knowledge of single-use technologies and their application within bioprocessing and biomanufacturing environments
- Previous experience in product management and/or sales identifying market opportunities, developing marketing strategy, facilitating voice of the customer activities and executing product launches
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
How you will thrive and create an impactThe Product Specialist will support profitable growth within the Biopharma Production business unit by partnering with Product Management leadership to execute strategic and tactical initiatives across the product lifecycle. They also will work closely with the Product Manager to support the existing product portfolio including but not limited to life-cycle management, process development, NPI Stage-Gate initiatives, new business opportunities, and profitability.
- Drives profitability through proactive portfolio lifecycle management; managing cost fluctuations while optimizing margin and pricing, identification of long-tail targets for obsolescence, and recommending complementary products to drive profitable growth
- Support revenue growth targets through collaborative sales activities and opportunity pipeline development
- Plans and implements end of life activities for products being phased out
- Support Change Notification and Product Deviation processes ensuring customer facing documentation is complete and receives customer approval
- Support NPI stage gate process ensuring all applicable marketing deliverables are completed on time
- Support supply chain, operations, quality, and production teams on key supply chain issues, capacity and resource allocation concerns and product line forecast validation to ensure the correct prioritization of business concerns and that the customer experience is managed appropriately
- Assist Product Manager and Marketing Communications to develop clear and concise product-specific technical and marketing collateral (FAQs, presentations, case studies, white papers, website/video content, etc.) for the field sales organizations and channel partners
- Assist the Product Manager in establishing the vision for assigned products and developing portfolio roadmaps through market analysis, competitive analysis, customer VOC, and market strategy development
- Assist the Product Manager in the development & execution of annual pricing strategies in the context of market and competitive conditions, value to customer, pricing strategy, geographic location, product cost etc.
- Develop training materials and planning for internal departments on new product features and providing support to customers

Pay Transparency:The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$86,000.00 - $138,000.00
Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
