The ideal candidate will be the primary architect of Vultr's public sector cloud product roadmap by ensuring our infrastructure supporting the global public sector meets customer product requirements. Key Responsibilities- Identify products or programs through the FedRAMP (Joint Authorization Board or Agency) authorization process
- Public Sector Cloud: Identifying secure scalable solutions tailored for US Federal agencies or highly regulated sovereign entities.
- Ability to ensure product engineering solutions align to and meet NIST SP 800-53, FIPS requirements, and the FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) framework.
- Problem Solving: Ability to transform customer requirements into innovative technical solutions that meet strict regulatory mandates without sacrificing platform performance or usability
- Collaborate with the Program Manager Public Sector Compliance to define strategic roadmaps and support full product lifecycle
- Provide product architectural guidance for Vultr's public sector cloud product roadmap
- Public Sector Go-To-Market Strategy: Partnering with sales and marketing to support RFPs and Briefings with tailored value propositions for government customers.
- Customer & Market Requirements Management: Prioritizing needs from government agencies and system integrators into actionable product requirement documents (PRDs).
Qualifications- 1 to 3 years of experience specifically managing products within the FedRAMP, GovRAMP, or IL4/IL5 ecosystem.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with cloud security architecture, zero-trust principles, and automated compliance tooling.
- Communication: Ability to translate "Gov-speak" and security requirements into clear technical specifications for developers
- Experience as a customer advocate for features that specifically solve government pain points, such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) integrations for PIV/CAC cards or specialized storage for CJIS/ITAR data
- Experience in ensuring ensuring that the product roadmap includes offline documentation, local API mirrors, and manual update mechanisms that Sovereign Cloud customers require to maintain their digital sovereignty
Compensation$90,000- 120,000
Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
This is a fully remote position with potential to travel up to 25%.
