Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Innovation & IT Services, the Product Owner. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The Product Owner will report directly to the Director of Innovation & IT Services, who acts as the Product Manager. This role will be primarily focused on the enhancement of user experience for our digital platforms including mobile app and the billing platform. The Product Owner focuses on guiding the customer and user experience on these platforms. The successful candidate will advocate for customer experience to ensure value is brought to the customer, ultimately leading to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities:
  • Product Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with the Director, Innovation & IT Services to define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the mobile app and MyUFA platform.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including customers, development teams, and other key business units, to gather requirements and feedback. Advocate for customer outcomes to improvement experience. The role will actively seek and incorporate customer feedback, ensuring alignment to business objectives are met.
  • Experience Advocacy: Ensure we continue to strive to improve our customer experience, reducing friction for them to interact with UFA in our digital platforms.
  • Feature Definition: Clearly define and communicate user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed specifications for features and enhancements.
  • Drive Execution: Deliver product results aligned to the solution, working with project managers and other team members to ensure results and outcomes are realized in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Product Planning: Work closely with the Scrum Master and development team to plan and execute, ensuring that deliverables align with the customer product vision and business goals. Assist the Scrum Master in prioritizing features to align to customer outcomes. Align budget with priorities to ensure execution stays within constraints.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product improvements and innovation.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the QA team to ensure that all features and enhancements meet the highest quality standards before release.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze product performance metrics to inform future development and enhancement decisions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in the mobile app or digital platform domain.
  • Proficiency in web and mobile design principles, including user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
