Full Job Description
The Product Owner Senior Business Analyst is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining product vision, shaping multi-year roadmaps, and driving end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives across Citi.

This role combines product ownership, advanced business analysis, and program leadership, with accountability for multiple concurrent initiatives. The SVP acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring alignment between business strategy, technology solutions, regulatory requirements, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define, articulate, and evolve a clear product vision aligned with Citi's strategic objectives, client needs, and regulatory priorities
  • Develop and own multi-year product roadmaps, balancing strategic transformation with tactical deliverables
  • Continuously assess emerging technologies and business needs, recommending innovative solutions and system enhancements
  • Evaluate industry trends, IT developments, and competitive landscape to inform strategic direction


End-to-End Delivery & Initiative Ownership
  • Own and drive end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact programs from ideation through implementation and optimization
  • Provide input across the development lifecycle, including defining system scope, objectives, and required enhancements
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring alignment on scope, schedule, dependencies, and outcomes
  • Proactively identify risks, impacts, and dependencies, and drive mitigation strategies


Senior Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Serve as the primary interface with senior stakeholders (Managing Directors, business heads, and technology leadership)
  • Build strong partnerships across business, operations, technology, risk, and compliance organizations
  • Lead executive-level communications, including steering committees, business reviews, and strategic updates
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and impactful presentations and reports on program status, risks, and strategic implications
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly insights for non-technical audiences
  • Proactively manage expectations and communicate changes in scope, timeline, or budget


Business Analysis & Solution Leadership
  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation across business, functional, and non-functional areas
  • Produce high-quality artifacts including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mappings
  • Ensure requirements are traceable, testable, and compliant with regulatory standards
  • Provide in-depth, interpretive analysis to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic decisions
  • Consult with business clients to define functional specifications and align solutions with organizational goals
  • Support UAT validation, ensuring delivered solutions meet business needs


Technology & Data Leadership
  • Partner with technology teams to define and deliver scalable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture
  • Work with database technologies (e.g., SQL, MongoDB) to support data analysis, integration, and solution design
  • Evaluate and recommend system alternatives and enhancements based on business process analysis and industry standards
  • Identify and drive opportunities for Generative AI adoption to improve efficiency, insights, and product innovation


KYC & Client Lifecycle Management
  • Lead and support KYC processes and systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence
  • Leverage expertise in Fenergo to optimize client onboarding, lifecycle management, and KYC workflows
  • Drive enhancements to improve client experience, efficiency, and compliance outcomes


Risk, Controls & Governance
  • Identify, assess, and communicate risks and impacts, providing well-defined mitigation strategies
  • Ensure adherence to Citi's risk and control frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Appropriately assess risk in all business decisions, considering impact on firm reputation, clients, and assets
  • Drive transparency through effective escalation, reporting, and management of control issues


Delivery Execution & Process Excellence
  • Execute initiatives using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
  • Ensure delivery quality, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives
  • Continuously improve delivery processes, governance frameworks, and operating models


Team Leadership & People Management
  • Supervise day-to-day team activities, including resource management, work allocation, and performance oversight
  • Mentor and coach team members to build strong business analysis and product capabilities
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovation


Qualifications

Experience
  • 10+ years in financial services, preferably within a global banking environment
  • Proven experience in product ownership, senior business analysis, and program delivery
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-initiative transformation programs
  • Strong experience interacting with senior executive stakeholders


Skills
  • Expertise in product strategy, roadmap management, and SDLC methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with interpretive thinking
